Sacraments

The requirement to receive the Sacrament of Baptism or to celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony at Annunciation Parish is dictated by the Church Law (Canon Law):

  • You live within the parish boundaries.

  • At least one of you is a registered member at our parish and regularly attend Sunday Mass.

Baptism

Parents themselves should pick up and return the completed Baptism Information Form to the parish office at least 6 months in advance of the anticipated baptismal date.

An interview with a parish priest is required and attendance to the online Baptismal Preparation Meeting is mandatory. Parents of the child baptized should be a registered members of our parish community* and regularly attends Sunday Mass.

Parents has to submit the completed request form with the one of the parents’ Baptismal certificate, as well as the child’s long birth certificate to the parish office.

Marriage

The Couple themselves must contact the parish office at least one full year in advance of the anticipated wedding date. No date may be set before meeting with the priest. A Marriage Preparation Course is required.

One of the couples has to be Roman Catholic and a registered member of our parish community* and regularly attends Sunday Mass. 

If either party has been previously married, permission to proceed must be obtained from the Chancery Office at the Archdiocese.
